Above Champion

Y11S3: a solo-queue-only playlist for the very top, with its own regional leaderboards.

To get in: Champion this season and Platinum or higher last season, a good reputation standing, and on PC the ShieldGuard security checks (Secure Boot, Memory Integrity, TPM 2.0) plus app-based two-step verification. It opens mid-season.

How Ranked works now

5 placement matches

Every season starts with five placement matches. They give extra Rank Points so you get back to last season's level faster, and you can queue with anyone.

Rank Points (RP)

You gain or lose RP after every match, depending on the result and how strong the two teams were. Beat a stronger team: more RP. Lose to a weaker one: a bigger loss.

Demotion Shield

A loss that would drop you a division can leave you at 0 RP instead, if you started the match above 0.

Who you can queue with

Copper to Emerald: teammates within 3 full ranks of yours. Diamond and Champion: within 2. Big gaps in a squad count toward its highest player.

Map bans

Five maps to ban from: 3 from the Pro Pool and 2 from the Seasonal Pool. A season's new map can't be banned.

Competitive rewards

2 points a win, 1 a loss, and a reward every 10 points up to 150. Rank rewards use the highest rank you reached that season, even if you drop later.

You can't place straight into Champion: it has to be earned over the season. Ranked unlocks at Clearance Level 50.

Questions

How many ranks are there in Rainbow Six Siege?
40. Eight tiers (Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, Champion), each with five divisions (V to I). Champion got its five divisions in Ranked 3.0.
What are the ranks in order?
Lowest to highest: Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, Champion. Inside each tier you climb from V up to I.
What's the highest rank?
Champion I. Above it, the Legend Division is a separate solo-queue playlist for Champions, with its own leaderboards.
How many Rank Points is a division?
Ubisoft doesn't publish a fixed number. The post-match report shows exactly how many RP you gained or lost, and that depends on the result and both teams' ranks.
Is there still hidden MMR?
No. Ranked 3.0 removed it: matchmaking uses Rank Points only.
How do placements work?
Five placement matches at the start of each season, with bigger RP gains so you get back near last season's level faster. No squad limits during placements.
Who can I play Ranked with?
Copper to Emerald players can queue with teammates within 3 full ranks; Diamond and Champion within 2. Placements have no limit.
